Bhumika is an Internationally graduated Physiotherapist. She studied Fitness and Health Promotion at Durham College, Oshawa before obtaining her Physiotherapy license in Canada. She has been a member, in good standing, with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Bhumika is passionate to treat musculoskeletal and sports injuries in all population. She has previous experience in the treatment of physical injuries (musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, neurological) from India. She is a strong believer of tailor-made protocol designed on individual needs. Hence Her therapy sessions include hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, education and use of electro-physical modalities including LASER as needed.
She has taken specialized course of Mackenzie (neck and back) and Mulligan techniques for the hands-on manual therapy. She also uses cupping therapy, gua sha tools, acupuncture, dry-needling, taping, alongside LASER therapy to ensure patients achieve their goals.
Bhumika continues to acquire further training to improve her skills and to be up to date with recent advances in the field. She is in the process of getting certified for EDS (Ehler’s Danlos syndrome) and hypermobility spectrum disorder. She possesses excellent communication skills and tries to make the therapeutic environment professional yet friendly and comfortable for all her patients.
Bhumika chose a career in Physiotherapy as she is driven and excited to make changes in people’s lives, promote wellbeing, and assist them in achieving their goals.
Beyond the clinic, Bhumika enjoys playing recreational badminton, biking, playing cards and spending time with friends and family. She likes to cook and calls herself a foodie.
